I was a healthy 23 year old male working in the
Physical Therapy department of Cape Cod Hospital. I was applying to P.T.
schools to get my Master’s Degree when I was involved in a car accident. I
had severe low back pain and sciatica. I was told I had a congenital
defect of my spine that made it more likely that I would have low back
pain and sciatica. Since I was working with a great group of PTs, they
showed me exercises to help my back.
My pain only worsened and I eventually went to see a
chiropractor who examined me and related why I was having problems. He
explained the connection of the nervous system to the various organs and
muscles of the body and how poor spinal motion can have long lasting
negative effects on the body.
I began a series of treatments that were quite
gentle but profoundly beneficial. After recovering, I told my new bride
that we were going to Chiropractic College so I too, could give others a
chance to get better without drugs or surgery. To treat people as a whole
and to teach them about diet, exercise, and life style choices really
appealed to me.
I’d like to think that I have returned the favor a
thousand fold by all the people that I have helped . I particularly like
difficult cases as they really get me to think outside the box. My
specialty is soft tissue injuries and have I over twenty years experience
treating patients.
My wife Claudia and I have been married 21
years and we have two teen -age daughters. We live in Mashpee with two
dogs, three rabbits and a guinea pig.
